Wondering if anyone could tell me how to make 3-4 parts of an SVCD Movie continuous. Or even tell me what authoring tool would be able to do that. I have yet to burn a successful DVD but I would consider it a marginal success if I had to punch each piece of the movie in.

As for combining the SVCDs or joining, TMPGNce Plus latest version and Womble all failed! So what I am looking to do is have the things go on one after another in 4 pieces. I have given up on combing the SVCDs into one 3.2 Gig Svcd.

    Thanks

    Ted

    Right?

    Good lord!

Look... you put all the SVCD parts in a directory and RUN SVCD2DVDMPG+. The ENTIRE POINT OF THIS PROGRAM IS TO MAKE THOSE MULTIPLE SVCD'S INTO ONE CONTINUOUS DVD.

Which part of this are you finding difficult to understand?

Not sure what we are talking about here, but I am only able to process one part at a time. The DVDMpegs are useable by programs to do as you will, but I don't own those programs. I made the vobs, but they all end up in their own folders with very repetitive filenames. I am not sure what program to invest my money in....and I don't want to waste it.

If you have a process that you think will work, write it down so I understand what it is that is so baffling to me. I have never done this before, and my last DVD+RW was a flop in trying to get these VOBS on the disc.

    1. Put all the source SVCD files (either the original .BIN/.CUE or just the extracted MPEGS) in a folder.

    2. Point SVCD2DVDMPG+ at that folder.

    3. Hit "go".

    4. When you're done, you'll have a VIDEO_TS folder filled with VOB files with strange names. This represents ONE DVD MOVIE. Just one. I know there are a lot of files, but it's JUST ONE DAMN MOVIE. Trust me.

    5. Burn that folder to a DVD. Don't author it. Don't run some other program. Just burn it, as-is, to a DVD.

    6. Watch the DVD. Oooooh lookie that.

    Was that so hard?

My sarcasm arises from your obvious lack of understanding as to what this program does, and as to how a DVD is set up.

Now, at which point exactly are you getting this system header problem, and from what program?

  11. all i can think of is reencoded the vobs to mpeg. join the mpegs and start over but you might have troubles with the audio after joining.

  13. my guess the mpeg in the bin isn't completly ok. most of the time i have troubles with mpeg that aren't completly the same as the origional. a few different bits can give you a hard time..

bignogin: which guide did you follow? Are you using SVCD2DVDMPG to author or another program?
    SVCD2DVD v2.5, AVI/MPEG/HDTV/AviSynth/h264->DVD, PAL->NTSC conversion.
