I recently did a system reinstall to clean up my comp and I have been installing codes as needed rather than installing the jumbopacks. This was a suggestion that I read here in the forum. I have encountered an xvid that is viewable mplayer, I think because I installed the ffdshow codec, but unfortunately, it will not open using virtualdub. Gspot indicates that 4cc xvid codec is not installed. Should I install the 4cc codec and if so which version. I thought I would ask this time before just going and installing stuff without obtaining a little guidance. Any suggestions and background info would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
VC
