High speed CD-ROM media experiment...

I came across this experiment today, sorta makes you wonder how fast the CD readers will go before we reach the high end of CD media playability.

Great Fun!

I'm told that the "Langa Letter" (sp?) (a trade newsletter) reported that 1000s of replies stated that a CD had exploded out of the drive while in use--ruining both the CD and the drive.

So we're probably already at the limit; especially given the imbalance caused by some silk-screened "labels".

Another fun "experiment" -- DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME -- Put a factory-made one in a microwave. BOOM. Hard on the microwave 'though.
