First, I want to thank everybody here that has contributed their input for region-free hacking, a most horrible form of censorship. I had never even heard of Cyberhome, and when I began looking for a new dvd player, I came here because I wanted the R2 version of Die Another Day. Now that I have it and the CH-500, I'm set.
But there are some issues I can't figure out. First, when I'm watching the second disc of Die Another Day (it's the only R2 dvd I own, so I have nothing to compare it to), the choices on the menus do not appear. Basically, what I mean is, the main menu on disc 2 comes up with the choices "Inside Die Another Day," R2 Exclusive," etc. but when I select one of those the sub menu appears but the choices are not visible (no words). The only way I found to crack it is to push STOP and then PLAY and then the menu comes up. This is also true of disc one as well. Is this something I'll have to live with or does anybody know of a fix? Second, on disc 2, during the documentaries, the bottom half of the screen is jumbled whenever the camera moves. The picture looks as if there is a problem with the disc but it only happens when the camera is moving and only during the documentaries. The trailers are fine. It's doesn't make the picture indistinguishable, but it is noticeable and annoying. I haven't found a fix for this one. I did try to change the region code to strictly R2, but that didn't work either. Lastly, when I'm watching the movie, it seems like it's a little too fast, maybe it's just me, but I could swear that my R1 copy feels more "normal."
When I bought the player, I emailed the seller and told them what I wanted and if the current bios would be optimal and they said it would do its job. Now that I've hacked the region code, I'm hesitant to email Cyberhome's support and explain this because their website makes such a big deal about not changing the region code.
Other than those minor problems, the player is awesome, and I'm sure with all the miracles listed on this website somebody somewhere has an idea.

Thanks in advance.
