Anyone tried the demo on this yet?
go here/http://www.honestech-e.com/us/product01.asp
has real simple interface, also converts those VOB
trailers to mpeg with ease...
Only problem i noticed is it limits audio to 224kps...
15 day-trial available....

what didn't you like about it? Interface? Output quality? Speed?
curious....- housepig

Housepig Records
out now:
Various Artists "Six Doors"
Unicorn "Playing With Light" -
Interface -- very little adjustment is allowed - you can only have closed gops and other things .. maybe i couldnt acces more because it was ademo version - seemed like you could only use its templates..
Output quality - so so , not bad but not great either . fast motion (i always see how they can do a waterfall close up - killer to encode) was not great (this is based on memory form a while ago and as i mentioned it was a different version as i believe 5 is very recent)
Speed - wasnt bad on speed (it does have a noise filter option which can slow it down - as with any encoder)
price is cheap - 49$
but for 49$ i would still stay with tmpgenc which offers more tools an features
i will give version 5 a try when i get a chance though .
