I'm capturing with Premiere 6.5 from my Cannon XM1. Movie capture is fine, device control works fine. But after each capture (ie record, stop and save) I can not get a picture to come through or device control to work properly again unless I close the capture window, unplug the camera, then re-plug and re-open the capture window. Then it is fine again for another single capture before I have to go through the same procedure. A very tedious way to work, you'll agree!
Device control in 6.5 does not have a dedicated XM1 setting, but I have tried all the Canon settings (and many of the others) and none is any better or worse than another. This problem only arose when I changed to the XM1, so it's a fair bet that that is the cause of the problem. Can anyone suggest a fix, please?
