Hi,
I'm totally new to the world of video capture, editing and authoring. I recently purchased an Nvidia Ti4200 video card with 128MB Ram. It has an S-Video in. However, I don't see any othe software on utilizing this feature.
Do I need an extra piece of hardware and software to start capturing video off of my camcorder and TV, or will it somehow "pop up" somthing as I start playing the video into the card?
I know these questions sound dumb, but this all quite new to me.
If I do need something extra, what precisely do I need to purchase to make all this work?

NO, NOT REALLY, but you can try demos of ulead dvd ws
or videostudio... As for capturing video, try virtual-dub,
its the best for capture and choosing codecs so your files
arent so monsterous...gonna need tmpgenc also very
cheap and its one of the best encoders, follow guides
