I have a DVD movie that`s 95 minutes long (changing lane) But the whole disc is 7,7 GB! Is it possible to backup the disc and not reencode the movie?
if the movie is only 95 minutes then it cant take alot of space on the disk or can it? What program do i need?
Sorry for my poor english...

The length of the movie doesn't directly correlate to any size -- size of any video file is dependent on two things: encoding rate and time. Only by considering the two can you tell how big it will be.
Another way of looking at it: You ask me how long it will take to drive to Los Angeles. I can't tell you how long it will take unless I know how fast you're driving and from where you are starting. If you drive 60mph it will take half as long as if you drove 30mph.
So you can have 60 minutes of video fill an entire DVDR disk, or you can squeeze 180 minutes (or more!) of video on that same disk, depending on your encoding rate.
The movie you're trying to backup may be encoded at a very high rate, but my hunch is that more than likely there is both a widescreen as well as a fullscreen version of that movie on the same disk. You can use the many tools out there (DVDShrink 2.2, for example) to determine if this is so and if so to backup only that version you are interested in."Like a knife, he cuts through life, like every day's his last" -- Mr. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang -
Use a shrink tool. Another thread is comparing them at the moment:

are you trying to backup to DVD or to CD.
If you are backing up to a DVD, you can use DVDshrink (my favorite), dvd2one, dvdxcopy or a number of other apps to do this. Depending on the movie, you can use dvdshrink (and a few others) to remove unwanted audio tracks and other "junk" and the movie only may possibly fit on one DVD. If not, you can do "transcoding", which will generally take 15-45 minutes.
If you are backing up to a CD (VCd,CVD,SVCD), generally speaking you MUST reencode (I say generally because some smart ass will come on here saying that you can change the extension and a few oter little things and then split it over a series of CD's) :P :P
