Anyone know how I can figure this out? I tried looking at the Conversion tab in VirtualDUB, but I have a feeling it's just using defaults. I tried looking at the property tabs when loading it in WMP, but it won't tell me anything except that the codec is "Morgan Stream Switcher".
I want to know all the little details about the audio. Anyone know how I can find these out? I can easily do it with .avi's using a program called AVI Info... is there anything like that telling me the info about mpgs?

I would bet a video editor would show you the properties. I believe I've seen this info in Womble. You could also probably demux the sound out and use an audio editor to get all kinds of info.
Try the free (or free trial) editors under tools.
Edit: The Womble mpeg2 version is not free (mpeg1 is). My comments may have been misleading. I still think an editor would show you the info.
