Now using TMPGEnc12a, trying to encode .avi to vcd.
    First try, crashed at 6%.
    Downloaded the VirtualDub 1_4_7
    Saved the audio as .wav
    Tried again with TMPGEnc12a
    Video .avi
    and
    Audio .wav
    Encode
    Crashed at 6% Again
    Please help me!!!

  2. Maybe the avi is corrupt at that point, try to play it from 5% past 6% point.

  5. You didn't say what codec the avi uses. But if it's DiVX it's probably a freeze(bad) frame.

You can try to open the file in VirtualDub, and directstream copy both the audio and video. VDub will rebuild the bad frames.

You can also try AviDefreezer, which you can download on doom9.net:
    http://www.doom9.org/Soft21/Files/Editing/avidefreezer.zip

if this isn't working you can also find DiVX fix on doom9.net under download --> AVI Editing tools

    good luck
