This is my first post here, so please dont flame me if was already posted somewhere. I did a seach and did not find anything pertaining to what I want to know:
Even though Panasonic didnt say officially that this unit cannot write to a DVD-RW, has anyone tried? I once did a search on Google, cant find the darned post again, and could have sworn someone said they were able to. Has anyone here tried? Maybe even on their older models ie.E20/E30 etc.....

I think someone from another forum (Eug?) said that he was able to change the internal drive of the E20 (or was it the E30?) with a DVD multi drive (or was it a DVD-R/RW drive?) and was able to burn DVD-RW.

I've tried it on my DMR-e50 Pal version and it didn't work. The media was Pioneer DVD-RW 4,7Gb disc. The display on the E50 says "Read Only".
