    hey
i was wondering if there is an mpeg splitter out there that can split all the way to the frame, rather than the second. i am trying to do some cutting, which of course QT wont let me do, so i need a splitter that can let me cut exactly to the frame. lemme know if u know of one, or if u know of an easier way to do this. thanks.

  2. Editing Mpeg is notoriously difficult because you cannot cut at any frame, only at the I-frame, which is a stand-alone image. The other frames are incomplete images defined by their relation to an I-frame.

In the PC world, there is one mpeg editing program, Mpeg-VCR. I do not know if a Mac version is available.

  3. Although I havent used it, I have read that Mac users have success with editing Mpegs with the visual cutter found (press option key) in MPEG CUTTER part the Gumby Application set
