    On Winamp my mpeg2s get played with black screen and audio only, while they work correctly on media player.

    On both players they get played with a wrong height/length, theyre always too high in the ratio. I read that I could solve this by using a different mpeg2 codec, but I dunno which one I should take then.

    use powerdvd or windvd to play back ..

    Hmm, Id like to use Winamp if possible, cause its faster than the other stuff. But do PDVD or WDVD have a codec that would make Winamp play it correctly?

    yes -- but i have no idea if winamp will play it in the correct aspect ratio..

    it WILL be played in the correct aspect ratio in powerdvd or windvd
