I have been taking lots of DV footages and have been capturing this with VideoStudio via a 1394 connection, then encoding the captured AVI files to mpg files under VCD format with TMPG Encoder. This has been working fine, but one dissatisfaction is that I have been unable to find a way to capture the date&time info that I can see on the DV cameras themselves. Is there a way to do this?

Why don't you just add an extra frame with the time and date.
