I'm using DVD Workshop Trial Edition and when I capture from VHS player it always stops capturing at 3.99 GB. I get a message which says:

AN ERROR OCCURRED IN THE CAPTURING PROCESS. THIS MAY BE DUE TO INSUFFICIENT DISK SPACE.

I have over 90 GB available on the drive I'm capturing to. I have Windows XP and am using ATI All-In-Wonder 7500. This is my maiden voyage into capturing and I'm lost. Other posts on this forum refer to programs that have a 4 GB limit and automatically creating another file without pause but even that isn't happening here. Is there a way to increase the limit I can capture without pausing or stopping the capture? Any suggestions? Thanks for reading this and for any help anyone can offer.

  2. Well you are using XP so it can be done with that OS, but the question is, is you drive formatted to FAT32 or NTFS. FAT32 filesystem has a 4GB filesize limit.

    Thanks, Craig
That's the problem. I'd hate to reformat the HD and start over so I guess I'm stuck with it unless someone knows a way to work around it.
    Thanks for the information.

  4. It can be converted from fat32 to ntfs without a fresh reformat providing there is space on the disc, which it appears you have.
