my file has been encoded and is vcd complient and ready to be burnt but i want to split it into different parts. after it is split and i try to burn it i get the error message asking me to turn off standard complient or re-encode. i want the split files to remane standard complient like the original. i am burning with Nero5.5 and TMPGE to encode and split the files. files are AVI and Mpeg1/2 before encoding and Mpeg1 after encoding. any suggestions on what to do?

FOOOOL. Its very simple actually. DOnt forget to set the file type at the top of Tmpeg. SEt it to vcd or mpeg1 I forget. NOW that cut mpeg is still complaint. See how smart I am. It only took me 1 year to realize that.

so far i am able to encode at 2500 bitrate and still keep it complient. the settings i have used for the splitting is mpeg1(system). so if i change it to vcd will i still keep the same quality??

OK. just answered my own question. the quality looked the same to me and it kept it complient. THANKS ALOT.....
