I doubt if anything will be released until the autumn as the summer is a very poor time for sales with so many people on holiday (and coming home broke!)

What a very odd question this is. How about "Who should I vote for come next presidential (for the U.S.) election?"

Who knows? There's no point in speculating about products that haven't even been released yet. If you want to ask about what is due to be released that is one thing -- but unless and until they are actually released there is not one person on this earth that can tell you how good the products will be.

Right now the Sony and the Pioneer are probably the best in their class -- I bought the Sony but would have no problems if I had gotten the Pioneer. But the better time to ask this question will be sometime in September (and then you can ask "What *was* the best drive released this year so far?")
