I'm starting with a VCD-compliant Mpeg file. The tool I used to create it (WinOnCD 3.8PE) does something goofy during the creation process, which makes the final Mpeg file drop the occassional frame, and I've found that using TMPGEnc to convert from the original Mpeg to another Mpeg fixes the problem.
Unfortunately, this opens me to another problem... the original Mpeg file is 704x480 pixels. Everytime I load it into TMPGEnc, it clips the frames of my Mpeg file down to 352x240 pixels. Even if I specify that the source stream is '704x480', it automatically clips it.
Is there anyway to get around this problem?
Thanks,
Dave

I think I may have figured this out. For anyone else who is having similar problems...
The .dat files created by WinOnCD contain both a 352x240 stream AND a 704x480 stream. Most VCD/Mpeg players will read this incorrectly, and try to display the 704x480 stream clipped to the 352x240 size. An easy way to resolve this, is to demultiplex the streams, and then only multiplex your audio and 704x480 streams back together. The end result is a 704x480 Mpeg file that can be properly loaded into TMPGEnc and edited.
