  1. Two questions in one...

    a) SeVCD movies work great on my Oritron DVD200 (can't get cheaper than that . But no FF/RW - It just hungs. With or without PCB

    b) Can (though not sure if it'll work though since FF/RW don't work) I create seamless chapters with SeVCD format ?

    TIA.

  2. Try making a VCDImager of your MPEG and burning that. Also try demuxing your MPEG and remuxing w/ bbMPEG.

As for seamless chapters, yes and no. You can make seamless entry points, which will work just like chapters (hit << >> or the number of your remote) using VCDImager or one of it's GUIs.
I recommend TSCV (www.ttool.org) as this allows you to make chapters, menus (motion or still), intro mpeg, etc. etc. Read the guides on the site for more info.

  3. Would demux/remux with Tmpgenc be enough, or should I use bbMPEG ? I'll also try to use VCDImage and see how it goes. Remember that it's in SeVCD format (and I'm not sure if VCDImage supports it).

Also, isn't the case that TSCV does not support any xVCD format (ie SeVCD's) ?

    TIA...

  4. I would mux with bbMPEG. I'm not sure what x(S)VCD types TSVC will work with. I've made several xSVCD and used TVSC without any problems, but you never know until you try...

  5. Sounds like TSVC is aming to xSVCD more than xVCDs...

While we're at it, I demuxed with TMPGENC (simple Demux - there seems to be no option to demux with bbMPEG). But what options should I use when muxing with bbMPEG for SeVCDs ? VCD or MPEG-1 ?

    TIA...

bbMPEG adds too much crap padding to files made with Sefy's xSVCD template. What I've done is:

    1) Encode with Sefy's template
    2) Demux in TMPGEnc Tools
    3) Remux in bbMPEG to skew audio to correct sync issues; note this adds unnecessary padding that will make your file size enormous
    4) Demux the remuxed file in TMPGEnc Tools
    5) Remux the demuxed remuxed file in TMPGEnc Tools to obliterate the stupid padding added in bbMPEG
    6) Burn that file and be happy!

Ok, Should I use Simple Demux ? If so, which one ? MPEG1 Auto, VBR, VCD, VCD (non-standar) ?

    3) Remux in bbMPEG to skew audio to correct sync issues; note this adds unnecessary padding that will make your file size enormous

What settings ? VCD or MPEG1 ? VBR or noVBR ? If MPEG1 should I leave the Mux value to zero ?

    4) Demux the remuxed file in TMPGEnc Tools

    Same as above ?

    5) Remux the demuxed remuxed file in TMPGEnc Tools to obliterate the stupid padding added in bbMPEG

So the last remux should be in TMPEG ? Again, which option ?

    6) Burn that file and be happy!

    Hopefully !!! TIA !!!

  9. Sure... Instead, maybe you would want to post what settings you use instead...
