I have a Panasonic DVD player now but it will not play SVCD or even VCD disks when I burn them on CDR.
I need a new DVD player which will support the following.
Regular DVD + Audio CD's. DVD+R, DVD+RW, CDR, CDRW, VCD and SVCD.
Anyone know of a DVD player that for sure supports all this?
I was told the Mintek DVD-1600 would but when I read all the reviews, some said it would not. I was also looking at a Philips.
Give me some ideas.
Thanks all

I have Philips 724AT and plays everything I 've burned so far.
Loading time is very fast, also plays PAL discs on NTSC TV and you can easy unlock regions -
CyberHome 500 is great and has everything I think a person need plus it only 79 buck on their website

Tommy I read probably 30 of those but there is conflicting info on each one. 1 person will say it plays SVCD and another person says it won't.

Mintek 1600 will NOT play SVCD without the header trick(same with my 2110).I agree with Mtajr1 look at a Cyberhome CH-DVD($50USD) or Panasonic S35(single disk $95) or F65(5 disk $129),all are progressive scan.
Taken from Mintek website:
