    Strange this one :

When I encode using MainConcept MPEG Encoder 1.3.1, my output video is created using separate video/audio, but the video always comes out way to 'blue'

Best way to describe it, is as if someone has turned the blue level all the way up, I've uninstalled, cleared anything relating to the encoder out of the sytem/registry/etc, reinstalled, still does it

Is this down to some filter/codec ?

No video settings are touched in the encoder, just alter the CBR rate, and set it up for DVD output, and thats basically it. I don't touch any of the advanced video settings, mainly 'cos I'm not sure what they do !!

I have the Ace Codec pack installed, latest version, apart from thsi annoying problem, I have nothing else going wrong

    Thanks for any help

Basically ANY .avi from the 'net ...........

Now, th annoying thing is, I've used the exact same encoder, with very good results to convert movies to MPG so I can burn them before, but now its doing this 'blue' thing

If I use CCE to convert then the same movie comes out OK, but CCE leaves a border around the output file, whereas MainConcept fills the whole screen, espcially converting from 16:9 to 4:3, so I'd much prefer to use MainConcept

I've tried TMPGenc, but it constantly moans about file errors, or just falls over on some files, where, again, once I understood how to get MainConcept to accept movie files properly, using separate audio files, then MainConcept was perfect

Just this damn annoying too much blue issue

any avi would mean about 50 different avi formats ,...

so that was no use ..

anyway .. in options (import mod.) you will see 1 or two direct show filters and 1 avi ... disable the avi and try again ...

if no go - turn on avi and shut 1 at a time each of the direct show ..

ussually its disabling avi that works

Well, for the moment, it seems to have cured itself, again

Didn't do much either, have another try

    Yep,

You're right, down to the AVI import module, disabled, no more 'too blue'

    Thanks

I'm not online anymore. Ask BALDRICK, LORDSMURF or SATSTORM for help. PM's are ignored.
