  1. Hi;
    I just recently tried to back up the new james bond flick using DVDx. Overall the it was possible to rip this CD but it did a strange insertion of previous video, i.e. say you have encoding 30 minutes of video all of a sudden it would insert scenes from maybe 10 minutes before for about a minute or two and then continue on from where it originally was. Is this a problem anyone was ever encountered before or do you know if it is a new protection scheme and if so how to get around it?
    Cheers

    The same thing happened to me, repeated a portion up to where they crashed through the gate, then started again.

    I use Smart Ripper.

    To overcome this in DVDX 2.2, go to file, Mpegs, all the VOB's should be showing, hold the control key and highlight all the VOBS, click OK, say yes to the next couple of questions, I believe it then loads All the VOBS and starts encoding.

    Worked for me!

    Had to encode at 1680 Bitrate to get it onto 2 90 minute CD'R's, after Simple
    Mutiplexed( VBR SVCD) in Tmpgenc, reduced file size by 5% to 891meg.

    Yes, I had the same problem with the new James Bond movie; I had the same thing happen; chapters would replay..so I did what was suggested above..I highlighted all the pertinent VOB files,, then encoded.. instead of replaying chapters; NOW it plays bits of the director's commentary with the main movie ! Would anyone know how I can correct this ?

    I got frustrated ~ so ripped the entire movie with MovieJack 3.. result ? the video (in xsvcd mode) is great.. however it's in somewhat fast motion.. almost as if it's playing in fast forward...so, I'm wondering what I'm doing wrong..it's gotta be some incorrect setting; but I dunno what.. anyone have any suggestions ?

    Thanks
