how do i play ogm files on windows media player 9

i wanted to know how do i play ogm files on my windows media player. i ran my files through g spot and i have all necessary codecs installed for the video and audio. there are about 2 that i can watch on the media player but i have to change the extension from .ogm to .avi in order for the player to accept it. i know i have all the codecs installed, otherwise, i wouldnt be able to convert them to svcd with tmpgenc. i wonder if theres a plugin or something for windows media player to accept these files? any thoughts anyone?
