  1. ok after tempeg werkin right for like a week it now encodes a black screen with most files i think i have done 3 since this started it is making me crazy trying to figure out what is wrong and no one can tell me i have had serval different versions of tempeg and they all do the same thing now so HELP!!

    try encoding in mpeg1 (vcd) as mpeg 2 (svcd) runs out after the 30 day trial and may produce ur error. other than that all i can suggest is going to the official tmpegenc website and downloading the official version rather than the various hacked and cracked versions found all over the internet

  3. Are you talking about a black screen after the encode is finished?
    or
    Is it a black screen during the encode process.
    If its the latter then you may be using 2 pass which means the first pass you won't see anything on the screen but black.
    If its the first option then it may be a codec issue.
    Use GSPOT to get file info.

  4. i did dl it right off the site, i dont understand tho it werks with some avi's but not others like i got night mare on elmstreet 3 that wont work but 4 does so i dunno i am out of ideas and all i am useing is the wizard, i have tried the other way too but it does the same thing, thx for yer help tho

  5. the thing i think is strange is that it werked b4 .. like i checked to see if the black screen was gonna happen with stuff i encoded b4 and it does the black screen is when the encode is finishednot while it's going this makes me soooo mad >_<

  6. I still suggest you ID the .avi because there are so many different types that one avi varies from another.
    If you don't have GSPOT maybe you should DL it and give it a try.

  7. yup tried that didnt do any good, said dir....file name cant be created and thats all so yeah i dunno
