well this issues i have when i try to create DVD (mpeg2) files, for some reason it won't let me create one file, instead it creates two files one for video (m2v) and one for audio (wav).

there is an option there that supposed to let me turn that off, but its grayed out, so i can't.

    is there any work around?

i remember i had an previous version that didn't do this, but i don't have the installer anymore.

    Hello

That is because you picked LPCM sound. If you want to create a mpeg file with TMPGEnc then you have to use MP2 sound (also called MPEG-1 Layer II Audio).

When you select MP2 sound then you will have the option to either output a mpeg file (filename.mpg) or elementry streams (filename.m2v and filename.mp2)

    Hello

I should point out that you can mux (multiplex) AC-3 audio and a M2V file together get a single mpeg file but of course TMPGEnc does not do AC-3 encoding.
