  1. So I have two .VOB files which I'd like to join, cut a little off the ends, and plop into an MPEG 2 file on my hard drive. Im aware I could do something like this with DVDx ripping it directly off the DVD, but I dont want to re-encode this video (it already has been twice).

Now, using the MPEG Tools, Merge & Cut feature of TMPGEnc, I load them both up. The first VOB works fine, but the second, I get an error message saying its not an MPEG.

Both VOB files work fine in VirtualDubMod, so I though maybe I could frameserve them into Merge & Cut, however, both now get and error of not being an MPEG. The frameserving works fine if I open the files into the "Video Source" of TMPGEnc.

My question: Is it possible to do this, and if so how do I fix the error... or Is there a better way to do this without purchasing software and such.

    Thankyou for any help.

  2. Guess I solved my own problem, here how:

I used VobEdit to join the two Vob into one, which then did work in TMPGEnc. I had to do the sound separatley and then multiplex it in. It was about .2 seconds off so I had to sync it by trial and error, but the end result looks good.
