  1. FIRST -- Thank you for looking at my problem/question! It's appreciated!

I captured some video and although it's fairly clean, I would like to refine and clean it up more. I am aware of ATI's All in wonder 9700 features with VIDEO SOAP and how it cleans up video, but do not have that card, nor can I afford it!

QUESTION: Is there any software that is good for cleaning up the audio and picture quality of video files? I want as close to dvd quality as possible! This is for Family videos/historical videos/etc.

Any advice is appreciated! THANK YOU!

After you have captured your video, load it into TMPGEnc. Then use this guide to adjust your settings for optimum quality. It was written for a dazzle card capture, but you should find it just as useful.

  3. I'm going to give it a try! I'm using Ledteks winfast 2000XP as a capture card. Hopefully it won't give me any trouble with TMPGEnc.

Thank you for the very quick reply!

The guide in my signature has some info on both video and audio restorations. It uses an ATI card, but the software usage should be the same on the filtering aspects.
I'm not online anymore. Ask BALDRICK, LORDSMURF or SATSTORM for help. PM's are ignored.

  5. Thank you very much!

I'm going to try both articles out to see if I can improve the video/audio!
