Cannot get Header Trick to Work

I have tried thw Header trick on 2 svcd files now and everytime, following the instructions correctly, it comes out with no video. Its just black, but the audio is still playing. Is there another method of changing the header, or maybe a solution to my problem?

I gave up on it and bought a DVD burner. It was probably my standa lone player but I got sick of making coasters. Others swear that they have had success, but unfornuately I'm not one of them.

The header trick does not work on all DVD players, you may just be unlucky and have a player it does not work with, I know I have

the reviews say that it does work on my dvd player.. its the actuall trick.. i multiplex with the new header.. and when i try to watch it on my computer to see if it worked.. no vid.. my player is in my details..i think

If I try to watch a "tricked" mpeg on my computer it doesn't work, but it does on my friends Sony player. Have you tried burning and playing?

EDIT: I did burnt eh video-less file and it playes just fine on my sony, thanks everyone
