    Why is it that we are not able to capture a video directly to DVD? There are standalone units out there that is able to do this. Some of them you can record to hard drive and then transfer to DVD.

    So why is this capabilities not available for HTPC??? It seems like it would be easier with a PC than with a standalone setup.

    I thought MyDVD captured directly to DVD.

    Ok, I was unware of this. Will this work also with capturing from Directv?

    Also my capture card is not listed, so which one is the best to get?

    roxio dvd builder and neodvd plus burns directly to disc
