  1. I am attempting to create a DVD from a number of mpeg-1 files that I have. All solution that I have attempted produced less than satisfactory results. i have acces to a number of freeware tools and also have DVD studio Pro, QT Pro and Toast. I would appreciate any assistance anyone could offer. i attempted to follow Ross' thread, but the resulting video was only the first minute or so. It is about a 44 minute file. Thanks in advance for all suggestions and assistance.

  2. I Can't assist with the Mac programs, but what I can do is say what I know, and to do a VCD on a DVD media, as far as i've read around, all you need to do is change the audio to 48khz.

So why not demuplex the audio, re-encode as 48khz (personaly i'd convert to WAV and then encode it to 48khz MP2) and then multiplex back with the Video, and then you can burn it as a DVD Compatible VCD movie.
