    Right, hope someone can help. Am getting this error, won't bore you all with it yet, how can I get tmpgenc to open and convert an mpeg. I was sure I had it on my pc but obviously I haven't and for the life of me I cannot remember where to download it from.

    PLEASE HELP !!!!

    I don't get it, the file plays fine in wmp but no program will open it.

    If the error message you are getting has something to do with unsupported, then you need to get the correct codec(s). Go to the tools section on the left side of this page and look under codecs. Or you can use AVICodec (also available for download from the tools section) and see which codec you are missing.

    You can always open it in Virtualdub Mod, then frame serve to TMPenc. Look in the tools section for Vitualdub Mod.
    Got my retirement plans all set. Looks like I only have to work another 5 years after I die........
