  2. It sounds as if you might have missed a setting in dvd2avi. When you did your preview in dvd2avi did you remember to set the field operation to "None"?? 20.00fps is not valid and would only be reported if you have "forced film" activated under video/field operation.

More than likely you have a pal source which is actually 25.00fps. You will need to create a new d2v file using the correct settings in dvd2avi.

    good luck

CCE does not accept d2v input. You have to frameserve one way or another.

You have several options. You can use VFAPI converter to create a fake avi file from your d2v file, which CCE will load. The best way to frameserve is through avisynth. This will increase your encoding speed by possibly up to 30%. I recommend getting FitCD to create your avisynth scripts, at least til you get the hang of it. Just load your d2v file and fill in the output settings you want and it will create a very well written AVS script for you. Then just load this in CCE and it should encode fine.

  4. Adam your right about needing to frameserve to CCE. Wizzy did not state he was frameserving. I gathered he was since CCE gave him the 20000 framerate message. He couldn't get that message if he weren't frameserving somehow.I don't wont think CCE will open a d2v file at all , hence couldn't give him the framerate error.
