4:3 = 1.333. But 16:9 then?

Just see if I have got it right. The aspect ratio of 4:3 is also called 1.333 (4/3=1.333).
But (as far as I have heard), the apect ratio of 16:9 is also called 1.85. But 16/9=1.777
Can sombody explain?

16:9 is not 1.85:1 ! 16:9 is actually a format that does not exist within the cinema world... Also, 4:3 is not 1,333 because it's not square pixel, nor is 16:9
