  1. Well I gave up trying to get my scan converter to work and purchased what I hoped would be a solution, Leadteks GeForce2MX DH Pro. At least this card is able to detect my TV with the twinview option enabled (unlike the previous GeForce card I had). Unfortunately, all I get is "squigly" lines. I gave up trying to use the S-video. No matter what hardware I was using, the S-video always "blinks" on and off on my TV. Of course my Home DVD player works fine with the same S-video port on my tv. Anyway, I am using the rca-type connection. The twinview is enabled and is set for auto-detection as far as the cable connection is concerned. Any ideas as to why I am unable to get a normal looking picture on my tv? I live in the USA and am using NTSC for USA. I am using drivers from Leadtek for nvidia (ver 5.13.01.1260). I have tried the latest nvidia drivers for XP/win 2000 (did I mention I am running an eval version of XP) but they didn't work at all. My motherboard is a KG7 from Abit. I also tried TVTool 5.5 and the picture was the same. It's as if it is out of vertical and horizontal sync at the same time (no controls on my sony trinitron to compensate for this). Sorry for the novel, Please help!!

just wondering what kind of problem you had there? a scan converter is completely external and driver-less. it should work on any vga socket.

  3. Actually, the scan converter (TVator) was the closest thing that I have gotton to work. However, the picture would never go into vertical sync and was somewhat distorted but I could at least make out my desktop on my TV. I was hoping someone would have an answer for my tv-out problem. It seems the laws of tv-out don't work in my house!
