Problems with The Matrix and DVD2OneX

I've heard the matrix is a tricky dvd to backup and run though dvd2one.

ill try it myself and let you know what happens for me.

Thanx, I forgot to add that i am rying o make it a region free DVD. I am going to japan next week, and my host family wants me to bring the matrix. So i need a Region 2 or Region free copy.

Does dvd backup automatically remove region coding?! I dont see why the others you did would have worked, and this one not. It could be the complexity of this dvd that I've read about.

I would say test it in someone elses player and see if it works. Ill back up my copy tonight and test it on my player. Ill let you know if i have same problem.

I did, i made 2 backups, one a region free, one a region 2. then i popped both into DTOX. Both screwed up, saying the ifo needs to match all the files.

There has got to be something that happened during the backup process.

Does apple dvd player play the back up VIDEO_TS folder?
other than saying to trash all matrix dvd related rips and start from scratch I dont know what to say

seems others have done it with no problems. Im backing mine up as we speak , ill let you know.

Matrix DVD backup to HD - No Problmes
Matrix VIDEO_TS though dvd2one Disk copy - No problems
Movie Copy - No problems

Burn of disk copy to dvd-rw, no errors, plays fine on my dvd player
Burn of movie only copy to dvd-rw, no errors, plays fine on my dvd players


i left it to region free setting, so i am assuming its region free, no way of testing it. But my player plays them fine!

Sorry, dont know what to say, other than trash everything, restart your machine and have another go at it
