  1. I recently created a slide show in DVD-R format with ULead Video Studio 6.

The slide show worked very well.
However as it was only about 600mb I decided to burn a copy onto a CD instead of using the more expensive DVD-R.

This also worked well in MOST DVD players however it does not produce any audio in some players (mainly Philips)

Does anyone know why and if there is a workaround?
    Thanks
    Pete

How did you get a CD_R with authored DVD-Volume to play in a settop player?..
    What brand was it?..most unusual....

MOST? I only know of 4 or so players that play DVD on CD in my experience!
I assume the audio was PCM and the PHILLIP won't play PCM is my guess

But I have a mate who has a Phillips (not sure what model) and that is a very fussy player !

What I'm aying is you have the FUSSY player!
IN a GOOD WAY!...FUSSY enough to play a format
UNSUPPORTED by 95% of DVD players

DOESN'T matter whetther your project is a DVD VIDEO or DVD AUDIO-
IF IT ON A CD SURFACE..and If its a DVD FORMAT with .TS and .VOB's
It will not play in 95% of the players out there

You friends PHILLIPS is the norm!

    (ps I wish I'd gotten a HYUNDAI!)
