  1. I currently have Sonic MyDVD and Roxio Videowave 5, are these good softwares to use, or should I invest in a better software? I dont really want to spend over $100.

if they work for you, they're good. if they don't, they're not.

I would suggest you download trial versions of every authoring app you can get your hands on, and try a project with each of them. Once you've done that, you should have a good idea on which one is going to be the right one for you.

I myself like DVD Lab, an $80 app that is easy enough to do basic projects, but really deep and able to handle more sophisticated authoring. But there are some experienced people here who don't dig it, they like other apps.

Try 'em for yourself. Although if you want to keep it at $100 or less, you won't have a whole lot of options...

  4. You really only have to choices in the price range: DVD Lab and TMPGenc's Authoring Program. neoDVD is like $50 but in comparison to the other two just is not worth it.

Both programs are really 1.0 software, but it appears that all upgrades will be free. DVD Lab is very well supported (as is TMPGenc). You can d/load trail verisons of both. Not sure about TMPGenc but DVD Lab is a fully function trail (30days).

I personally use DVD Maestro thou

  5. Another Vote for DVD-Lab. Have been using during the 30 day trial and I am VERY impressed, especially for the price. Would recommend.
