  1. Hello everyone,

A few weeks ago I got my own DVD writer and I started to search some information about how to make a DVD.
First I made one with a simple tool, but 2 weeks ago I got DVDMaestro @ the local Computer Store.

I tried to make my own DVD and it worked, but I have one problem:
I encoded a Divx to DVD (PAL) and It took me ages but it worked and the movie was greath on the Computer, I inserted it into DVDMaestro and I made some Menu's and some extra options and started to create the DVD (image with DVDMaestro) I first tried the menu's on the computer and watched the DVD. Everything was ok, but when I burned the DVD it did not work, I could see the movies but it was not a LIVE movie, it had some sort of glitches (jumps from one frame to another) What am I doing wrong? The programmes I used: DVDMaestro - TMPenc - Virtual Dub (for the Audio) is this a Authoring question or something else, because I do'n't know....

    Thnx, Civo

P.S. YES I followed the How-to on this page and I did everything correctly.....

Okay, first off, DVDMaestro hasn't been sold for about a year and a half, so don't give us that you picked it up at your computer store! Did you create a Video Title Set (ie, a set of DVD files on your HD) or an image (yourvideo.IMG)?

How did you burn your DVD (what program)?

What kind of media did you use?

Was the jerkiness all over the disk, or only in certain areas?

Did you create your DVD in PAL format?

  4. First of all, I DID buy DVDMaestro a few weeks ago, I can Scan in the bill if you want, it was in a box with al sorts of old DVD programms.

I did create a DVD Title Set, AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS
I burned the Files with Nero Burning rom, latest edition.
    I am Using a MMore DVD-R with 4.7 GB.
Was the jerkiness all over the disk, or only in certain areas? (what do you mean?)
And yes I created the DVD in PAL format.

    Greets me

Don't scan the bill (I could whip one of those up for you in an instant), but scan the DONGLE and the INSTALLATION CD. Then I'll believe you!

Never heard of MMore disks. How fast did you try to burn this puppy?

you should sell it on ebay with the dongle for about 6000$+ (really) and buy adobe encore or dvdlab or something like that instead .. and have enough left over to buy a really nice computer and monitor(s) ..

not nessesarly better - but encore promises to be just about as good for almost most things ..

dvdlab is getting better and better also-- lots of newer authoring apps are pretty good ..

maestro IS good -- but if you dont need some its features -- might as well sell it and make some money ..

im still waiting for the scan of the dongle -- a nice full color manual goes out at cost to someone (as in above) who can show me one (and i have an orig. one to compare it to, so no scams)

CerielTjuh - your problem is in your encoding (maybe) but without more details (your settings etc) -- it would be hard for someone to say what the problem is ..

sure why not -- as long as it has the number and product code printed on it as does a dongle (and its visable in the scan) .. go for it !!

on another note -- i hate usb dongles because i have to have usb enabled - but then again having 4 dongles plugged into each other on the par. port is rather untidy also (and sometimes doesnt work)..

LMAO...being as my "DINGLE" is my "dingle" ling.....I don't think there is any product code or manufacturer ID's on it......however, many have been served!...too bad there isn't an "automatic" counter on it...like a web page viewer counter.....

I did get a good laugh out of this post....too bad noone asked the original poster "how much" they paid for this "hidden treasure" at the "LOCAL" computer store.......I hope they never commit any type of serious crime...the investigators would have a feast with someone like that.....gotta think mang!
