  1. Also, mod chips don't exactly disable Xbox Live, there are just reports that Microsoft will ban your X if it detects a mod. Fortunately, some of the newer mods being sold today can be switched off when running Live.
    Sometimes, ya just gotta.....umm, what's the word........FART???

    I agree entirely, but also know the owners of the sites I used to frequent got basically forced to close down to avoid lawsuits. Maybe not valid lawsuits, but as most of these guys were like you or me they couldn't afford to contest it.

    I personally only own a gamecube (which can't be chipped AFAIK), so never tried backing up anything. My flatmate had an xbox, but sold it the same day my DVDR arrived! I do back up my DVD's though, I live in a shared house and although unintentionaly I have lost a few disks when they've been borrowed due to scratches etc. Now they borrow the copy if they want to, not my original.

    Aright i Own a NEC Duel Format DVD to Back up me Games
    Both XBOX and PS2. The XBOX can read +R and the PS2
    V4 and above can read +R TO but both can b picky about what
    +R Blank u use. The NEC can be a T*at to get workin with
    -R althought 95% off the blanks work Fine in both XBOX and PS2
