  1. when i try to burn the vcd with "VCD Creator" after i add the mpeg file, (converted with, Tmpg enc) i got error the the vcd player won't be able to read this.
Details (pointed as wrong by the Roxio Easy CD Creator 5):
    frame size is 352X288,
system clock reference 1058, <- Not acceptable
video pack size 2048, <- probably work
audio pack + padding 2048,<- probably work
last pack size 2052,<- probably work

Where do I change system clock referense? And to what values do I need to change ???

  2. make your video 352*240 your DVD player should change it back to 352*280. I have 3.6 and it works fine I also 3.8 and can not burn SVCD at480*480 I think I have to burn it at 480*576

Open TMPGEnc with the encoded source file
    1. go to files
    2. choose mpeg tools
    3. simple demultiplex
    4. simple multiplex
    5. time to burn...

  4. Also, you can download the MPG fixer in the tools section. This usually fixes all my problems when I do not pay attention to what I am doing the first time. Best part is that it only takes a couple of minutes to fix.

Not to be contentious...I just checked the specs on roxio: 1. before multiplexing: I showed the same errors as you
    2. after multiplexing: all the mpeg info was OK
    3. downlaoded mpeg repair tool and it repaired the clock reference but did not repair the audio and video pack size
I would heartily recommend muxing the mpeg...

The mpg fixer as you said fixed the system clock ref. But the ! in video pack size 2048, <- probably work
audio pack + padding 2048,<- probably work
last pack size 2052,<- probably work, were still there. When I burnt it and tried it on DVD the quality were bad stammering and the picture hacked.

    "muxing"
multiplexing...I don't think the mpg fixer works thoroughly...use the multiplex tool of TMPGEnc...then I think your mpeg-1 will be compliant

  8. Muxing didn't solve the problem. I realised that the problem started when I cut the mpg into two sections with TMPGEnc. When I split it with iFilmedit it worked just fine.

    thx

  9. Perhaps you didn't set the TMPGEnc multiplexer to "MPEG-1 Video CD". If you leave it on "MPEG-1 Auto", it won't work.
