  1. Hey guys,

Ok first let me explain what I have been doing and then I will get to my problem. I am taking shows off of my tivo into a Dazzle DV-Bridge in to premiere 6 and editing them and saving them as .avi files. I then take the .avi and with the help of avisynth, put them into TMPGE as MPEG 2 files. I then take the .wav and .mpg file that I have created and use one of several programs that I have (dvdit se, Mydvd, dvd-lab, ect.) to burn the disk. Up to yest. I had no problems. Now it seems that when I burn the files I am getting a motion type of artifact. If the video is still with minimal movement no problem. When the video moves around there are several area where it becomes distorted. I wouldn't call it blocky just distorted. I will try to post up a small clip for people to see what I am talking about.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks!!!!

  2. What settings are you using in TMPGenc (resolution, bitrate, 2pass VBR, etc). And please post a screen shot because I'm not sure what 'distorted' means sorry...

  3. Ok here are some screen shots

    Gone

And, I am sorry about the screen shot as it doesn't seem to happen on the computer from the dvd, only on the TV. It is like a horizontal artifacting. (bluring)

ok, how about a clip from the source file....?
sounds like an interlace issue. go look up interlacing and what it means, and while you're reading re-encode with the field set to top field first (a) instead of bottom field first (b) and see how that goes.

  5. Also..

FYI.. I don't know if you intended to have "Brad's" full name shown on the internet. (ref tmpegenc screenshot - video/audio file path)

Unfort. I deleted all of my source files I haven't been having one problem before so once I got them in my computer I encoded them and deleted them I am doing another test capture and convert. using A as the first field so I will see how that goes.

  8. Ok, here is a clip that I just did where I switched the Field order to start with A in TMPGE. I still have the problems that I had with the other files and burning them to dvd.

well, it's definitely interlaced material (did you look it up?) but it looks as though it's been resized or something at some point. it looks pretty screwed to be honest, and without knowing -exactly- what you did step by step i can't help.
