  1. Here's my problem. I have recorded many VCD's (mpeg1) using TMPgenc. On some of the mpeg movies, I tried to shortcut and encoded audio at 192kbs and mono, instead of the standard 224/stereo (don't ask why). The VCD's play flawlessly on my APEX stand alone DVD machine. I bought a Sony progressive scan DVD player and it seems to play all the VCDs (or tracks on my VCD's) that are encoded to standards (224/stereo), but the audio skips, jerks, and is out of sync on the mpegs I encoded at 192/mono. Does anyone know of a way I can reencode the audio to 224/stereo on each of these files without affecting the video quality? Then, I can just reburn. Not a newbie, just don't know audio. Thanks a bunch.

All you gotta do is demux the audio and video with TMPGEnc for example, then re-encode the audio track in besweet or what ever then multiplex the audio and video back together

  3. You can also try SVCD2DVDMPG.
