I purchased one of these capture cards for my PC a few months ago, andwas very pleased with it's capture features.

I just purchased a 2nd card for my wife's PC so she can watch TV while on her computer if shewants to.

I noticed a glaring difference between the 2. Even though they are the same cards, the TV picture on her system is like crystal clear, while on my system, most of the channels have a lot of snow or noise. Mine has always been that way, so Ithought it was a glitch with the card. I have my cable tv cable going into my card as well as her's.

But now that I see hoe clear her picture is, I know there must be something amiss with mine.

Any ideas how I can maybe clean his up?

Her system is a DELL 2 ghz system with 128 meg of ram intergrated video. My system is home built, 1 ghz with 198 meg of ram with intergrated video. Both running XP Home.

Its most likely the cable signal and nothing to do with the card itself. Try removing unneeded splitters that may be in place before the cable reaches your computer. I believe you can also buy a cable signal booster that plugs into the wall and improves the signal and thus picture quality.

to be sure the cable signal is really the problem, you could swap the places of the two computers and see if your computer has a crystal clear signal when it is setup where hers is (use the same cable cord as she does as well). If the signal is still fuzzy, then I would try swapping the cards themselves as it may be a problem with the connectors on the cards (they are removable on the 2000xp btw), or the tuner itself.
