  1. in THIS
guide do you not need to select all the movie files before ripping as you are not told to do so, but you do with the dvd9 guide???

    thanks

  2. not sure if i understand your question.

on the tutorial they use to rip all the files too to make a ready to burn iso files.

Why you need all the files for DVD9 is becose software to compress the movie need all of them to process (IC7, DVD2one, DVDshrink and other..)

  3. ok let me simplify this

hey keith, you remind me of the keith from American Idol by asking a question like that.

did you not read that guide??

it says to use ISO mode not FILE mode.

therefore you are not selecting any FILES, rather you are writing an ISO image of the DVD that can be burned directly after decrypting.

follow it and you will be fine

  5. thats not a stupid question,

ok, it says go to mode and then read iso.

this reads the disc telling you if it is later 1 or 2 etc.

what i want to know is if you then need to go to "mode" then file and select all the files to be ripped to the hard drive.

there is no mention of that in thr guide.

  6. keith,
You were on your way to success but then you stopped. You need to follow ALL of the steps. you made it to step 3 and went off the tracks.
The picture has numbers on it that correspond to the instructions. See below post.

  7. keith, take a really good look at the instructions and the picture. The number in the instructions corresponds to the number on the picture. TAKE A REALLY CLOSE LOOK AT STEPS 4 and 5!!!!
step 4-----select a destination file o0n your computer to write a iso file to.
step 5------click on the disc to hard drive picture to start ripping your iso file. The iso file is the entire movie but in a file that you will use in the next step during your write process.
remeber there are no stupid people just stupid douchebags that dont understand your questions..

Just remember, things that are elementary to you may not be to all, that is why we are all here, you didnt start off knowing all and will have questions later that will seem stupid to more educated people, so be nice. lol good luck

  8. I appreciate your help but all i wanted to know was if you need to select all the files to rip to your hard drive.

because the guide only selects the majority of the files, it leaves out a few

    is this normal?

  9. Keith,
You are talking about 2 different modes. The mode you need to worry about automaticallt selects ALL of the files, since they will fit on 1 disc. YOU SHOULD NEVER LEAVE THE SCREEN THAT IS ON THAT TUTORIAL. Do yourself a favor, just follow that tutorial step by step. do not do anything else. just go through each step and you will be fine.

    LOL

This is just way too funny ...

    @keith123

If the original DVD is a single layer disc (DVD5) then you rip it in ISO --> READ mode and this will create a SINGLE *.iso file on your HDD

Then put DVD Decrypter in ISO --> WRITE mode and selecting that single *.iso file BURN it to your DVD recordable drive.

Your DVD-R or DVD+R (whichever you use no difference really) will then be a PERFECT bit-for-bit copy of the original EXCEPT it will be region code free and copy protection free as all that garbage is removed when you do the ISO rip.

It is THAT simple when making a back-up of a DVD5 (single layer) DVD disc.

    *** EDIT ***
The ability to pick any or all files when ripping is only there in FILE mode NOT in ISO mode.

HAHAHAHA OMG it really is Keith!!!!!!!!!!

Is this guy for real?? I mean missing the point once or twice is fine, but to continually miss it just gets to be rediculous...I dont care how new you are! The freaking picture has numbers next to it!!! following the freaking guide can't be easier. that is, unless you can't paint by number. even my 3 year old can paint by number!!

    hahahhaha

I re-iterate the posts above! I would have said all that and more but my friends here got to it first
