Okay, this is a bit of an odd one.

I've been trying to burn a DVD using Expression and DataWrite DVD-R's (reasonably cheap media I guess).

I have made about five coasters attempting this and everytime Expression stops at the same point with an "Error writing to drive" or some other unhelpful generic error.

I contacted technical support who suggested updating the firmware (Panasonic SW-9751 Multidrive) which I did - still no help.

However, I managed to burn to a TDK DVD-RW successfully.

So I copied the DVD-RW to DVD-R (using the DVD duplicator supplied in the same suite of tools - Pinnacle InstantCD/DVD) and the DVD-R works fine and plays quite happily on my Wharfedale DVD-750S.

So I was just wondering if this might help other people who are actually authoring if they find that the DVD writer is having difficulty with cheap(ish) media.

Obviously, it takes a bit more time but you do get to try out the DVD-RW menus and things before burning the final DVD-R. (The DVD-RW doesn't play in my DVD player! ).
