TMPGenc 2.5 plus - when I open a capped file that is .mpg it won't find an audio file to associate with it. AviCodec shows:
Video : 17.90 MB, 6000 Kbps, 29.970 fps, res. 352*480 (16:9), MPG2 = MPEG 2 (SVCD/DVD), Supported
Audio : 683 KB, 224 Kbps, 48000 Hz, 2 chan., 0x51 = Mpeg-1 audio Layer 2 [0xc0], Supported
I followed the LordSmurf guide to the letter as I have almost the exact same setup as he does and am trying to do realtime encoding.
I thought I had a codec problem so I installed the m2v.vfp. I also installed PowerDVD - reading here that would put in another codec but it doesn't show up in my plug-ins section. The kicker is that if I go to the 'MPEG Tools' section to DeMux it recognizes both the video and audio channels, but it won't do that in the main program encoder section. What's up with that?
Side note - I've read all the guides - searched through the forums and even formatted and started all over. Any Ideas anybody?

Appreciate your post but if I use a 'redone' audio source will it allow me encode in real time? I did get my setup to work once - only once - the other night. Then everything fragged out and it wouldn't work any more. I tested a 03:36 clip and encode time was 03:36. IF I use a different audio will it still be 03:36 or is it going to re-encode and end up being a 12+ minute encode time?

Problem is fixed. Apparently Tmpgenc won't register the cyberlink mpeg2 encoder from PowerDVD with the demo version (as someone on this forum said it would). I got the full version, installed it, and problem solved. I am now encoding in realtime.
