  1. Hello: I'm thinking of buying a DVD-R. I've seen the Formac Devideon. Does anyone have it? It's a good buy? Do you know another better machine?
I want it to make my own DVDs.
    Thanks in advance!!!

  2. Do you have a G4 Tower or only a G3 mac? This will make a difference to your options. iDVD is supported on G4 macs only and you have to have a internal DVD writer. An external DVD burner is not supported by iDVD. Other than the Devideon (you must buy as a package, comes with devideon authoring software and external DVD burner) there is a program from Pixela called Capty DVD. Lacie sell it as a package with a DVD burner or just as separate software (then you can add a DVD writer of your choice)...see the link below....

I haven't used any other software other than iDVD so I can't comment on how well they work...But if you have a G3 then your only options are the Devideon and Capty DVD....

  3. I've got an eMac, it's a G4. All I want is to burn my DVDs. I've got Toast Titanium too.
I tought the hardware is the question.
So the software for burn wouln't be a problem...
    Thank you in advance
