  1. Does anyone know if there is any copy protection available for home made dvds that a home user can enable, so that his burns are protected? I know of macrovision, but I was wondering if there was any commercial product available on a cheaper scale for home use. Thanks for the help.

Nothing that couldn't be gotten around by the average person on this board. Look at how little or no effect Macrovision has on stopping people from backing up their DVD Collection. Basicly, anything that can be played on a DVD, VCD or VCR player can be backed up no matter what type of copy protection they use.

  3. Maybe I'm wrong (since I haven't used it), but MF2 has a protection you can put on your DVD's...however, this wouldn't stop anyone.

  4. Copy protection on DVD is a joke do not wast your time with it. Not alot of people have DVD burner's second people that pay for stuff will pay for it. If some get's it for free he was never going to pay any way. You really did not lose any money. If you really need copy protection do it on VCD's or SVCD i would say it's a little bit better but alot of people can copy thoise two

Copy protection is as useful as an ashtray on a motorbike

To put it another way, like a flyscreen door on a submarine

Depends on the content and whether you are planning on selling them from the Adult area of E-Bay 8)
Just what is this reality thing anyway?
