    Hi,

What is good software that will record audio form the sound card and a bitrate chosen? Please and thank you.

I have tried some software, however, I could not figure out how to use it, or I never could get it to work.

My first choice is Sonic XL from Cakewalk.com. It does a lot with audio but it's not easy to use.

  4. Although you can't adjust the audio bitrate CamStudio is a nice program to record sound from speakers,it saves video and audio as an AVI then use TMPGEnc to save as wav,mp2 or mp3.

If you want to record from microphone or line-in I recommend CDex.

Thanks for all the help. The reason why I am looking for bitrate is that when I recode I want it to be good quilty.

I was not really found mp3pro software is it part of Roxi? If so then that will not work well because I have winXP and everytime I try to install Roxi it dos not work.

I have tried a program called mp3DirectCut. I was able to get it to record from window media player, however, it does not seem to work with winamp. What program should I use to record from winamp? Plese and thank you.

I use Sound Forge 6, Its awesome and records from the sound card from any external device nicely. The quality sounds exactly the same as the source and lets u record it at any audio format at any birrate.

I prefer SoundForge 6 and DartPRO XP.
I'm not online anymore. Ask BALDRICK, LORDSMURF or SATSTORM for help. PM's are ignored.
