  1. i just cut out a few clips from a mpeg file and then i combined them together. but for some reason after i combine the files the time length in media player says the video is 2mins and 12secs long, but when i move the bar all the way to the end the video keeps going to 3mins and 30secs. how do i make media player see the whole video?

forget media player --- its hopeless on reporting correct time

maybe media player classic is better (it is at everything else vs. media player)

What did you use to join the mpgs? Some editors does NOT fix the mpg headers so the total time gets messed up.

  7. i used iFilmEdit and tmpgenc. i just copied the file to another computer and the media player on that computer sees the whole length. so i guess there is nothing wrong with the file, its my media player
